Public Engagement

Public outreach and engagement is critically important to the success of controversial transportation planning and/or design projects. Ensuring a shared process of information gathering, problem identification and priority setting is critical. Omni-Means conducts various meetings to inform the public on the project progress; the objective is to promote participation in the process, build community consensus and improve communication between decision-makers and community residents.

We ensure that key community constituents are consulted at critical decision points and that the community participation is tailored to the local area and meets its special needs. Community residents, professional experts and public officials must be actively engaged in a shared process of information gathering, problem identification and priority setting. We keep careful record of community concerns and issues and do our best to address them.

Omni-Means provides the following in our public engagement plans:

  • Planning, coordination and facilitation of Public and Stakeholder Meetings
  • Web-based communication tailored to the specific project
  • Project database development and comment tracking
